Specialist Pilates classes and 1:1 sessions designed for real-life strength, recovery and movement. Whether you’re rebuilding after birth, managing pain, or improving posture and core control, our classes are grounded in physiotherapy and adapted to support you at every stage — including pregnancy, postnatal recovery, menopause and healthy ageing.

Pilates is a low-impact form of exercise that focuses on strength, control, posture and breathing. It’s designed to improve how your body moves and functions by building core stability, flexibility and better alignment.
Originally developed for rehabilitation, Pilates is now widely used in clinical and fitness settings. Research supports its role in reducing pain, improving posture and supporting recovery from injury, surgery or changes related to pregnancy, menopause or hormonal shifts.
At Thrive and Shine, Pilates is adapted to your body and your stage of life — whether you’re returning to movement postnatally, managing joint or back pain, navigating menopause, or simply looking to move with more confidence and ease. Every class is designed to offer safe, supportive and sustainable movement that fits real life.

If you're recovering from injury, managing pelvic health symptoms, or need more focused support than a class can provide, 1:1 Rehab Pilates may be the right option for you.
These sessions are tailored to your needs and led by a specialist Women's Health Physiotherapist. We use Pilates principles alongside physiotherapy knowledge to support recovery, improve core and pelvic floor function, build strength, and help you move with confidence.
Your first 1:1 session includes a full assessment of your movement, strength, and postural control, allowing us to tailor your sessions to your individual goals. We'll identify any areas of weakness or imbalance and create a personalised Pilates-based plan to help you move better, feel stronger, and build confidence in your body.
Follow-up sessions are available in 30-, 45-, or 60-minute formats.
Package options are also available — see our Price List for details.
With over 20 years of experience as a physiotherapist and more than 7 years teaching Pilates, Roberta offers expert-led classes that are adaptable, supportive, and focused on helping you move well and feel better.
Classes are kept small so you get personal attention, supervision, and help to get the most out of each exercise — whether you're managing an injury, returning to fitness, or wanting to stay active and strong.
Sessions are welcoming and friendly, with a relaxed atmosphere. We take the exercises seriously, but there's always room for a bit of laughter too. The chair classes in particular often become lovely social sessions — but across all classes, we aim to build connection, boost confidence, and make movement something to enjoy.
General classes are open to both men and women, with specialist sessions for pregnancy and postnatal recovery.
